Frequently Asked Questions
Registration FAQs
Q. What age grouping does my child play in?
A. As of August 1 2016, US Youth Soccer changed the age matrix from school year to calendar year. Please reference the season/age matrix chart on the US Soccer Age Matrix page.
Q. I don't remember my username/password, what do I do?
A. If you have forgotten your username & password, please do not attempt to make a new account. Send a request to info@nksoccer.org and we can send your login information to you. Please include amplifying information, such as your child's name, so we can verify your identity.
Q. I'm having trouble with the online registration, what do I do?
A. Please contact info@nksoccer.org
Q. I want my child to play-up an age group, but the system won't let me. Should I just change their birthdate to make the system work?
A. Good Question. We are much more lenient with this for the recreational program. We allow players to play out of their natural age group for various reasons. However, falsifying information on the registration form is fraud, and if discovered, may cause forfeiture of games. If you wish to register outside of your age group for the recreational program, please send requests to info@nksoccer.org.
For the competitive program, please send requests to competitive@nksoccer.org.
Q. Our schedule is busy and we can only practice certain days. Can't you assign me to a team which practices only on certain days? When will practices be held?
A. During registration we do not know which days & times coaches will choose for their practices. Coaches will sign up for practice times at the coaches meeting held in early August. Once coach schedules have been determined we will try and accommodate requests for practice times.
