Dear Student,

The North Kingstown Soccer Association and the North Kingstown Soccer Club are pleased to announce the sponsorship of two $1000 scholarships. The scholarships are to be awarded to two High School seniors.

The purpose of the scholarships is to provide financial assistance to two High School seniors who desire to further their education through a one year program at a technical or vocational school, two year program leading to a certificate or Associates Degree, or a four year college program. The scholarships must be used solely for the recipient's college education and expenses.

To qualify as an applicant, you must be a High School senior who has participated in any of the North Kingstown Soccer Association programs for at least four years and have been accepted to an accredited college program of higher education. The criteria by which students will be judged are essay, academic achievement and extra-curricular activities including community service.

All seniors who qualify are encouraged to apply for the scholarship. The deadline for application is June 16, 2008. The Selection Board will be formed within the Rhode Island professional community. This Board will meet independently to review all applications and make a determination of the scholarship recipients.

Applicants must complete the attached application. The completed application, along with the required short essay, must be sent to:
